What is RestorationShopper.com and Restostores.com?
RestorationShopper.com is a fully featured, turnkey website developed specifically for the automotive restoration and racing market. RestorationShopper.com consists of 3 primary elements:
- RestorationShopper.com is a Froogle-like interface that links visitors to specific products on their favorite parts supplier's web sites.
- Restostores is a fully functional E-Commerce hosted application. Merchants in the automotive restoration and racing business create and brand their own storefront online. Their parts appear both on RestorationShopper.com and in their own storefront.
- Restostores can exist as a bundled application that merchants can install and run on their own server if they do not wish to use a hosted application.
Is this a template?
Absolutely not. RestorationShopper.com was developed completely from scratch over 2 years and is unique to the automotive restoration and racing industry. There is nothing else like it and only one copy exists.
What does it do?
There are three primary revenue streams, as well as a potential stream as a bundled application:
- A Pay per click model in which customers pay you for clickthrus from the product listings on RestorationShopper.com to the same product listing on their E-Commerce site.
- A hosted application model (Restostores) in which customers pay you to host their E-Commerce storefront. Full E-Commerce functionality is provided with the exception of a realtime credit card auth.
- Restostores can also exist as a bundled application that customers can purchase and run using their own hardware or a dedicated leased server, such as Rackspace.com. This model has not been offered on the market yet, however.
- Additional advertising revenue can be gained thru leased banner ad space, featured products on category and subcategory pages, as well as customer-managed text-based ads (in the style of Google AdSense) on category and subcategory pages. Pricing varies according to level of category/subcategory selection and type of advertising chosen.
What is included in the purchase?
- Full rights to the corporation name, Restoration Shopper Inc, currently established as a Class C Corporation.
- Full ownership of the domain names restorationshopper.com and restostores.com
- The compiled and executable programs that make up RestorationShopper.com and Restostores.com
- Full original source code for RestorationShopper.com and Restostores.com
- Non-compete agreement
- Assistance and support for a 30 day period to install, configure, and support RestorationShopper.com and Restostores.com.
- All intellectual and marketing property related to RestorationShopper.com (logos, artwork, marketing information, 10 ft. trade show booth sign, shirts, leave-behinds, etc)
- Dell Poweredge 650 1U server (2.4 ghz, 512MB RAM, 2-80GB drives, SQL Server 2000, Windows 2003)
* Note: I will also work on an on-going contract basis to make any changes or enhancements you need to the functionality of RestorationShopper.com or Restostores.com. As the developer of RestorationShopper.com, it makes sense for me to continue to assist you if required after the initial 30 days of support.
